CD level athletics competitions were held recently at Peravurani Government Boys Higher Secondary School.

In this, the students of Peravurani Government Girls Higher Secondary School won the overall championship title. On this occasion, Principal Shanti presided over the felicitation ceremony held for the successful students in the girls school campus. Assistant Principal Karthikeyan presided. Member of Legislative Assembly N. Ashokumar presented and felicitated the Prizes and Certificates of Appreciation to the students who won the competition.

Peravurani Government Girls Higher Secondary School won first place in the district level in the handball competition held recently at Thanjavur Annai Satya Sports Hall in the senior category. Through this they qualified for the state level competition.

School Headmistress Shanti and Assistant Headmistress Karthikeyan, Physical Education teachers are Rengeswari, Annamarie, Neelakandan, Practitioner and State Umpire Bharathidasan, Teachers, parents,school management committee members appreciated the winners of the competition at a function held at the school.

They achieved a bronze medal.Sukanya in 3000m race, Maya in 800m race, Nisha in 400m race, Aditya in discus throw, Rudran and Vaishika in long jump, Harjith in shot put, Keerthana in discus throw, Duraikannan in 3000m race, Yashvanthan in 200m have won silver medal and Giridharan in long jump and Navaneethakrishnan in discus throw have also won bronze medals. Physical Education Teacher Neelakandan, Head Training Physical Education Teacher Subramanian, Coaches Letsu-Manan, Vignesh, Natesa-Kugan, Sukanya, Murali, Karthik and parents congratulated him.
